Friday Finds: Cozy Essentials

Happy Friday! Not sure about where you live, but last night on my way home from my birthday dinner with my girlfriends, it was SNOWING. Yep. Thanks a lot, Michigan ;) We've been bundling up here for about 2 weeks now, which means I switched out my summer / fall wardrobe for my winter clothes and I'm layering like a mad-woman.

It is officially time to share some my favorite cozy essentials for winter! Most of these finds are on sale for the Nordstrom fall sale (up to 40% off). It ends Sunday, so hurry!

DETAILS |
Row 1: sweater (seriously so warm and soft!) / stripe top / scarf
Row 2: ruffle sweater (just ordered this in both the xxs and the xs, because reviews said it runs big, will let you know which I like better when it arrives!) / jacket / plaid cape
Row 3: coat / pink top / striped peplum shirt  (I have this top and wore it here)
Row 4: red poncho / sherpa sweater (on my christmas wish-list!) / twist tee

DETAILS | dark booties (I have these and love them for fall) / long cardigan / necklace / burgundy tote bag / black clutch / tan waterproof booties (these are my bff's! If you live in rainy or snowy climate...you need.) / bar earrings

While my mom was visiting last week, we went shopping so I had to show you a few of my favorite things!

This little black dress is perfect for the holiday season! It's a sweater / soft material on the top, with lace on top of a nude underlay. I couldn't get a great picture of it in the lighting (also excuse my face) -- but trust me! It's to die for.

Striped knit top with ruffle bottom. Of course I went for the ruffled top ;) This is one of my favorite new tops! It's so soft and cozy and the stripes are super flattering.

Obsessed with this gold and silver metallic stripe top. If it weren't SO dang cold in Michigan, I would have bought it in a heart beat, but I just wasn't sure how to stuff the sleeves into my winter coat and look normal ;) The zipper detail in the back is so sweet. This is 100% my style (stripes, metallic, ruffle, zipper...ugh!)

My mom's birthday present to me was this adorable gingham / buffalo check red dress! It has cute flutter sleeves and a fun back bow detail. It's also flannel, which is a huge plus here in MI.

LASTLY on the clothes front, and possibly most importantly, I found these fleece lined leggings (wearing in  the above pic) in the store when we went (that I linked to last week) and they are amazing as I thought they are!! So soft and silky on the outside, hold their shape, and literally the softest thing ever with their fleece lining. I have raynauds disease (cold temperatures cause my fingers and toes to go numb and change colors due to blood supply and circulation) and last night I wore these leggings and I'm happy to report I was HOT. I am never warm, let alone hot. I attribute it to my new fleece leggings ;) I might get the gray color as well.

Anthropologie is having a 20% off HOME decor sale right now, just in time to get a few festive things for your Thanksgiving table.

Nordstrom has a bunch of home decor goodies on sale for their Fall Sale as well. Check it out!

Hope you enjoy your weekend!

  1. So cozy... love all of these! Not sure I'd ever take the red poncho off. ;)
